The Talented Noble siblings keep on winning!
The Nobles had a very busy weekend over the 22nd and 23rd of March travelling to the Brixton LPJS on the Saturday and then to the Yorkshire LPJS in Halifax on the Sunday.
It was another medal winning weekend with Fin taking Gold in the plate competition in Brixton and Niamh taking Gold in Halifax on the Sunday. What an achievement, especially as this was her third competition in the space of 4 days!
Niamh Performs well at Crystal Palace
Niamh Noble took part in the very prestigious Public Schools Championships at Crystal Palace in London. She fought really well showing great progress. She was ranked 7th out of 62 girls after two rounds of poules and was unfortunate to go out in the last 32, finishing 17th. Well done for taking part in this important competition.
EM British Youth Championship Qualifiers
Frisby Fencers were well represented at the EM British Youth Championship Qualifiers on Saturday 8th March in Mansfield. This competition is held to find the best fencers from each Region in the country to take part in the finals in Sheffield in May. Niamh Noble and Fin Noble both won Silver medals to qualify for the finals in the under 14 and under 12 categories respectively.
Kathryn Walkden fenced the best she had ever done in a competition and is gaining in confidence. William Atkinson survived a trying day and showed true spirit, narrowly missing out on qualification. Harry Palmer also just missed out in qualifying in the Under 14 boys, losing 15-14 in the last eight to one of the finalists. A great day by all of our fencers. Owen Jordan and Matt Bolton have already qualified for the finals thanks to their great performances last year.
