We have decided to delve into the archives and post some photos from the club’s history.

Below is Philip Hoyle from 2nd March 2008 winning Bronze at the Clara Rayner Nottingham Open Men’s Epee. This was his first Senior Open and he fenced brilliantly coming 3rd out of 78 adults.

Fencing at Uppingham School

Great day for our young Frisby Fencers at the Uppingham School Épée competition yesterday. They fenced brilliantly and we’re really proud of them. Most importantly they really enjoyed themselves and grew as fencers during the day. End result was 3 Golds, 1 Silver and a Bronze ? ? ?

Well done Sylvia!

Huge congratulations to Sylvia Brown, who competed in the 13th European Individual Fencing Championships in Porec Croatia, from May 14th-17th. Sylvia fenced in the Women’s Foil, Epee and Sabre finishing 6th, 6th and 5th respectively, the highest placed GBR fencer in all of her three categories.
